Saturday evening performances take place at the Rialto Theater, in the heart of Tacoma's downtown Theater District.  As the city where Northwest Sinfonietta performed its first concert, the Tacoma concerts blend longtime supporters with new audience members.  The ornate design of this 1918 venue provides the perfect ambience for the intimate Sinfonietta performances.

 

Maps & Directions

By Car:

  • From I-5 take the City Center exit onto 705.
  • Take the City Center exit again and continue to 9th St.
  • Go left on 9th and up the hill to Broadway. 
  • The Rialto half a block up from Broadway on Court C. Ample street parking available as well as paid spots in many surrounding lots.

By Bus (Pierce Transit):

  • The stop in front of the Rialto is served by many routes, including the 1 and 2 buses (which run into the evening after concerts).
  • The Rialto is two blocks from the main Tacoma transit center, serving most routes and the nearby Commerce Street stop for the Tacoma Link light rail.

By Light Rail (Tacoma Link):

  • The Link's final stop is at the Theater District / S 9th St station.  From that point, walk west (up the hill) two blocks to the Rialto Theater.
  • Parking is free at the Tacoma Dome station, where the Tacoma Link begins; the light rail runs every 12 minutes from all stations until 10:00pm.
